Every year since 2020, Kota the Friend, has dropped mini mixtape like projects titled, Lyrics to Go. Where he drops a project every January full of nothing but straight up lyrics to show why he is among the best emcees and lyricist’s alive since he dropped his first full-length album, FOTO, in 2019.
Keeping with the tradition the Brooklyn emcee delivered, Lyrics to Go, Vol. 5 today. That has 12 new tracks including already previously released singles, YUMA and OREGON.
Kota also celebrating the project’s release by earlier today debuting a new video for the Hit-Boy-produced, TULUM.
