Fellow Chicago natives & G.O.O.D. Music originals Common & Malik Yusef nearly two years ago teamed for an awareness inducing track, Trouble In The Water, which features Kamasi. Well the other day they finally return to release the Manny Reel-directed video for the Steven Walsh, Matt Goetz and Devon Gulati-produced record. The eye-opening visuals, which FSD’s Andrew Barber and the Hip Hop Caucus’ Burundi Partlow executive produced dropped in conjunction with yesterday’s Earth Day to bring awareness yet again to the Flint, Michigan water crisis, the cover up and explore a planet without water. Also making appearances and/or features in the visuals are the Hip Hop Caucus’ very own Rev. Yearwood, King Chip, K.D. Aubert, Antonique Smith, Choklate, Lacy Kay and Aaron Fresh. With a petition calling on Michigan Governor Rick Snyder to create a compensation fund for the victims of the Flint water crisis being provided at the end of the video that you can sign after you watch the awareness-inducing clip below that needs to be heard.
