Drake tells Billboard that he wants to have a release concert for his sophomore album ‘Take Care’ in Jamaica and battle Weezy song for song. Sounds interesting to me.
“I don’t want to just do an album release concert. So, me, I go to Jamaica a lot — I love Jamaican culture — so what I’m gonna do, I’m challenging Lil Wayne to a sound clash, that’s what I want to do. I don’t want to just perform by myself,” he told us. “So I want Wayne to come out on stage with a mic and I’m gonna have a mic, and we’re gonna have both our DJs, and we’re gonna battle song-for-song and see who the people love more. And that’s how it’s gonna go.”

Earlier this year Drizzy revealed that a joint album was in the works with Lil Wayne. Now Drake tells XXL that he and Weezy have decided to cancel the project due to comparisons to the Jay-Z & Kanye’s ‘Watch The Throne’ album.
Me and Wayne scrapped the idea of a collaboration album. We just agreed that it would be looked upon as…It would be sort of this competition [with Watch The Throne]. I feel like it would get caught in this whirlwind of hype. [Wayne] agreed. We just said, ‘If we do it, we’ll do it down the line. But right now is not the time.’
That smooth singing white boy is back at it again. Robin reunites with Wayne for a new lil tune off Thicke’s upcoming album Love After War which drops December 6. You can cop the single on iTunes November 8th tho.

Weezy’s grind just doesn’t stop. Young Money President Mack Maine says Lil Wayne has already begun the recording process for his next studio albums: I’m Not A Human Being 2 and Rebirth 2. Wayne is building franchises.
“He’s, like, 12 songs in, and he went crazy. He went left. He’s in Martian land right now,” Mack said of I Am Not a Human Being 2. He captures all those different audiences, and then at a concert or a show, you bring all those different people together,” Mack explained. “You bring your Rebirth rock people, you bring your Carter people, and you bring your I Am Not a Human Being [crowd], and you have a great show. That’s why we sell out arenas every night.” – MTV
