Jorja Smith Releases Beautifully Heartbreaking New Single, Gone, Announces New Project, Be Right Back

Over a month after she released her enchantingly addictive latest single, Addictive. Beautifully talented singer and songwriter, Jorja Smith, is back with her beautifully heartbreaking new single, Gone.

A very beautifully heartbreaking record that finds Smith over the very tenderly beautiful Rahki-produced backdrop. Singing about a love lost and gone. That’s both beautiful and sad. As Smith sings and questions about why so many people have to lose loved ones, whether it be to death or a relationship. That are now gone and no longer with them. Something that so many have gone through over the past year-plus due to Covid and can unfortunately relate to each other more through.

The way that somebody as talented as Smith can bring all those emotions out on record that so many can relate to. Why so many love her music so much too and feel she’s not only one of the most talented singers and songwriters to emerge in the ever great growing crop of R&B and Soul artists to emerge within the last decade. But why she is a favorite of so many as well. Her last five singles, including, Addicted, this one, Come Over, Kiss Me In The Morning and By Any Means. Showing why many also feel that Smith is easily one of the best artists in all of music right now too.

Both Addicted and Gone, will also be on Smith’s just earlier today announced new project, Be Right Back. A project that will serve more so as an EP released between her critically-acclaimed debut album, Lost & Found and her currently highly-anticipated as yet untitled sophomore album. That she’s currently working on to be released sometime later this year.

Smith herself having the following to say in a statement about the new single and project, “Hello everybody! I thought I would surprise you with a special release! ‘Be Right Back’ will be released on 14th May and you can pre-order it digitally, on CD and Vinyl now. The eight track project features songs that I’ve worked on over the last two years and is an interlude between ‘Lost & Found’ and my second album, which I’m working on now.”
