It has been nearly four years since we have heard new material from once rising Spring Valley San Diego rapper, Ryan Anthony. But just recently the Diego area rep returned with his very feel-good and summertime-inspired new record, Southeast Summers. That features fellow Diego area rep and legend, Mitchy Slick, as well as recent Golden Globes-award winning singer and actress, Andra Day. With Day herself also a San Diego raised rep.
Anthony also releasing with the single, its just as feel-good and fun accompanying video as well. That opens with Mitchy enjoying and playing a game of dominoes with the homies as he spits his very feel-good opening verse and sings the hook. Before riding off on his bike to go meet up with Anthony, who sings and raps his verse. As they go and cruise their hometown of Diego to meet up with Day. Who they enjoy and have a feel-good time with repping their hometown, as Day like both Mitchy and Anthony before her. Rap about why, southeast Summers are better. Some of that very feel-good and Summertime inspired music we could all use more of with Summertime and Spring on the very near horizon.
