Boogie Drops Somber & Introspective New Single, Violence feat. Masego

Compton and Shady Records rep, Boogie hits us with a somber and melodic new track, Violence.  Spitting introspective lyrics over the somber and soulfully melodic production that’s anchored by wailing piano, which is very reminiscent of another CPT rep and Interscope signee, Kendrick Lamar’s introspective lyrics he had during his To Pimp a Butterfly era.  The Keyel & Amaire Johnson-produced track, which also features a great and melodic hook from Masego is the first official single from Boogie since aligning with Shady Records.  Featuring such introspective and thought-provoking lyrics as, “They sold my intelligence, destroyed the evidence, stepping in devil shit, you smell it, it’s heaven sent,” and “Connection was electric, but we all wired, with certain fears of being caught up in the crossfire.”  You can see why Em was quick to align the very promising emcee with his Shady brand.
