Chance the Rapper, was, “drinking, all night, drinking, all night, drinking, all night” as part of the chorus to All Night go, during his Official Lollapalooza Afterparty at Studio Paris in Chicago on Saturday night into the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Following his headlining performance at Lollapalooza on Saturday night, just a few short hours earlier on the main stage at Grant Park. Chance had everybody from fellow Chicago emcees, Rockie Fresh and Vic Mensa to former Power 92 and now WGCI radio personality, Tone Kapone, among the more notable guests that packed in Studio Paris Nightclub for the after show to see, Chance. Some even seeing Chance for the second time, after seeing him close out day three of Lollapalooza, just a few short hours earlier.
Arriving around 1 in the morning, Chance would make his way to the stage around 1:15 ish or so with drink in hand, to give shout outs to Lollapalooza for allowing him to perform earlier and putting on such a great festival in Chicago, ever since he was little. As well as various other shout outs that ranged from Nico Segal to a few people, who were at the club celebrating their birthdays, among others.
Chance with drink still in hand, would then do a small intimate set, which included Angels and his verse from DJ Khaled’s, I’m the One. Before going into his more turnt up records, Chain Smoker, No Problem and of course appropriately, All Night.
To which Chance asked afterwards, if anybody, “Could match his 16 bottles?” Which of course nobody was able to. Asking DJ Oreo, who DJed a very killer set throughout the night, if he could play more turnt up music the rest of the night. It was a more intimate performance than Lolla, that obviously made it nicer for the fans of Chicago, who either couldn’t get into his Lollapalooza performance Saturday night or where there, but obviously not as close when he played at Grant Park, just a few short hours earlier.
Being from Chicago and with his great history with Studio Paris and its very intimate setting, I’m sure that’s why Chance had it as the spot for his Official Lollapalooza After Party. With its intimate setting that allowed so many of his Chicago fans and people, who are in town from other places to have such a more up close and personal feel to end their festivities from Saturday into the wee hours of Sunday, before the fourth and final day of Lollapalooza on Sunday.
