The Boy Illinois Drops Very Colorful and Fun New Video, For, Dancing Like Diddy

A little over a week after I interviewed him for The Hip Hop Democrat, Chicago emcee, The Boy Illinois is back with his highly-anticipated first video since his new deal with Priority Records, for his very fun new single, Dancing Like Diddy.  Which he premiered through Vevo.

In the very colorful and vibrant new Jay Mavaz-directed video, Illi recreates Diddy’s classic Mo Money, Mo Problems video and also cruises the city bending blocks and spreading love.  Really bringing back that colorful 90’s style with a taste of Chicago added, the new visual really paints the picture of colorful fun, positivity and great music, we seen in so many of Diddy’s own videos in the late 90’s and even early 2000s.

When you watch the new visual from Illi, if you don’t get up and start doing your own 1-2 step, like he did in the visual, you must not have a pulse of fun in you.  Even when you see his white shoes and the colorful balls that rock to the bass, you will probably start to toe tap to the bass as well.

You can tell how really great a piece of art this video is too with not only those key pieces, but how it really truly brings the great positive energy and fun catchy vibes of the lyrics to the record, truly to life even more.

Also if you are out in Los Angeles this weekend for the BET Awards, you can catch Priority’s newest signee performance at this BET and McDonald’s sponsored event on the flyer below.
