Bruno Mars Shows He Still Has The Magic with No. 2 On Billboard 200 Opening for 24K Magic

Bruno Mars shows he still has that magic touch with the opening week sales of his latest album, 24K Magic, coming in at 231,000 units with 194,000 in traditional album sales for a No. 2 opening on the Billboard 200 chart.  Giving the Pop superstar his best opening week yet in his career.

With his other two albums 2012’s Unorthodox Jukebox and his debut in 2010 with Doo-Wops & Hooligans also debuting at No. 2.  Jukebox opening with 192,000, while Doo-Wops opened with 55,000 units.  Bruno’s sophomore album would go on to be No. 1 the next year and both his albums have sold over 2 million copies apiece to date.

Legendary Rock group Metallica beat out Bruno for the No. 1 album with their latest effort, Hardwired… To Self-Destruct.  Both selling over 200,000 copies and becoming the first to do so in the same week, this year.
