Def Jam RAP STAR unveiled at E3 2010

Move over Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and any other musical video game on the market because Hip Hop is taking over the video game market. Def Jam creators of the popular fighting game Def Jam Vendetta is now jumping into the realm of karaoke video games with the announcement of their latest title Def Jam RAP STAR.

The title, which due out in October for the Xbox, PlayStation, and Wii, is a karaoke rap game featuring 40 songs from a number of hip-hop artists/groups, including Oukast, Ice Cube, and Snoop Dog. The game also features a Freestyle Mode which includes beats from some of the hottest Hip Hop Producers in the industry, including DJ Premier and Just Blaze.  What also makes the game so special according to its producers, however, is the ability to share performances via social networks.

The game will ship with a wireless mic and will run $69.99 on the Xbox and PS3 and $59.99 for the Wii.
