Last.fm is reporting that it’s password have been stolen and as the old saying goes, change your password,make it secure, rinse and repeat if desired.

An unnamed representative for the site hasn’t said how many passwords, or even what percentage of the userbase is affected but has requested that users update their passwords right away:

We are currently investigating the leak of some Last.fm user passwords. This follows recent password leaks on other sites, as well as information posted online. As a precautionary measure, we’re asking all our users to change their passwords immediately.

Already in the spotlight over the way its iOS app collects information, including full meeting notes and details from a device’s calendar, LinkedIn is in trouble again. Anyone with a LinkedIn account, even if they do not use their mobile app, has to be concerned. 6.5 million hashed and encrypted user passwords have reportedly been leaked.

Norwegian IT website Dagens IT first reported the breach, noting that the 6.5 million passwords were posted to a Russian hacker site.

Children going through airport security will no longer be subject to the aggressive pat-downs that have riled some passengers and will instead face less-intrusive hand searches from screeners, the Transportation Security Administration said Tuesday.

“After a thorough risk assessment and after hearing concerns from parents, we made the decision that a modified pat-down would be used for children 12 years old and under who require extra screening,” TSA spokeswoman Kristin Lee said in a statement.
