Terrace Martin had quite the year in 2020. Releasing several solo EP’s and also forming a new group, Dinner Party, with fellow artists, Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington and 9th Wonder. Whom he released two very amazing EP’s with. So it comes as a little bit of a surprise that here in the first few months of a new year and 2021 that the producer, artist and saxophonist, as well as multi-instrumentalist. Hasn’t released any new solo material.
That changes today though. As on this Good Friday and beginning of Easter weekend. Martin releases his newest single, Can’t Let You Go. A very soulfully smooth record about a love you are addicted to and know is no good for you, but can’t let go. Rapper Nick Grant is also featured on the single with a very stellar guest verse. For this very soulfully smooth good record. That despite the topic it’s about, is one of those very soulfully smooth feel-good records. Which we could all use more of right now.
