Exactly a week after dropping her highly-anticipated debut album, Shea Butter Baby, very beautifully talented singer and songwriter Ari Lennox returns with the new Lacey Duke-directed video for, Up Late, which premiered just a few short hours ago through Vevo. The very beautifully sensually smooth and intimate latest single, which is by far one of the best on the album and among not only mine, but I’m sure many others personal favorites.
The new visual, though not as intimate and pushing boundaries as I thought it would be, was still pretty regal and beautifully stunning. As it finds Lennox out in the green fields and along the blue skies of the countryside from sun up to sun down belting the very powerful, yet still beautifully sensually smooth and intimate lyrics of the very powerful lovers ballad.
As the First Lady of Dreamville along the majestic mountain backdrop also rocks various regally beautiful outfits ranging from a just smoothly beautiful honey mustard dress to an elegantly regal red fur and dress. Getting down to a bundled up white bubble coat with an angelic elegant white dress by nightfall. Producer Masego, who plays the sax on the record to make the record that much more perfect and flawless even joining in by the latter lart of the visual when they reach closer to the sun set and late night.
The beautifully amazing visual really shows off Lennox’s very natural melanin beauty in a way that’s so soulfully pleasing too. While all the different looks, outfits and backdrops show not only what a really truly great artist, but young woman she’s becoming as she blossoms into the queen like tendencies of full womanhood.
