New Uncle Murda – Rap Up 2016

Brooklyn and Easstt New York native, Uncle Murda, started doing end of the year, year-in-review Rap Up’s a few years ago in much the same way Virginia rapper Skillz has been doing for years.  So keeping the tradition alive, over a classic New York sounding co-production from Reefa & Teddy Da Don, Murda, who’s at his best when he’s talking reckless on records, does just that with Rap Up 2016.  As several get ready to start the new year within the next 24 hours plus and some even sooner, he couldn’t have dropped it at any better of a time.  As he recaps all the big moments of 2016 from Kim Kardashian being robbed in Paris, to Kanye West doing Kanye West things, Kanye not feeling the love from JAY Z after the robbery, all the crazy celebrity related deaths to Donald Trump being elected incoming President and all the major headlines Drake made among several things.  Murda viciously murders the beat and goes all out, recapping the whole year in the 8 minute track, even taking a few shots at Skillz, for him taking shots at Murda in his own Rap Up track last year.  Going at everybody from Troy Ave to T.I., Beanie Sigel, Meek Mill and Rich Homie Quan among others, nobody is safe and you just better hope you aren’t caught in the crosshairs.  Listen below as Murda goes all out and shows how you truly emcee, as well as why New York rap is actually starting to sound like New York rap again.  Making you go sheesh at how much he goes in and makes such a dope track, which even finds him hinting at another New York rapper he may have recently signed with.
