Alessia Cara has had quite the breakout year in 2016, thanks in large part to her breakout hit records, Here, Wild Things & Scars To Your Beautiful being on the Billboard Hot 100 for much of the year. Not to mention the countless other accalodes and other awards or award nominees she has garnered, from most recently receiving the “Rule Breaker” award in the Billboard Women in Music 2016 to an AMA nominee for “New Artist of the Year”, to name a few.
Taken from the Canadian singer/songwriter’s critically acclaimed debut album, Know-It-All, which she dropped last year, she returns to that project with the premiere earlier today through Vevo of her latest Aaron A-directed video, Seventeen.
Aaron, who also directed the video for Cara’s standout debut single, Here, shows the great chemistry the two have together. As he greatly captures how personal the opening song from the album is with the just as personal and long overdue visual, which has Alessia sitting on a city bus and growing up right before our eyes.
You can watch the very personal video, which includes Cara’s family and friends below.
