Big Sean Lollapalooza 2022 Preview

Back in 2017, Big Sean. Delivered what is still among the most inspiring performances ever at Lollapalooza. So it should be no surprise that nearly five years later. Sean is back and set to perform at the 2022 edition of the festival. Performing on the T-Mobile main stage. On the third day of July 30th and right before one of this year’s headliners. J. Cole is set to perform.

That it took five years for Sean to be set to perform at Lollapalooza. Is what is somewhat surprising. Seeing as he has released yet another No. 1 album and platinum certified album with, his 2020 solo album, Detroit 2. That also spanned the GRAMMYS-Award nominated single, Deep Reverence featuring the late great, Nipsey Hu$$le. Which is also among the most standout records so far of Sean’s career. The Detroit emcee releasing a collaboration EP, What You Expect, with producer and longtime collaborator. As well as friend, Hit-Boy. During 2021 and as the first on his newly formed label, FF to Def Entertainment.

Sean through his own Sean Anderson Foundation. Has also even launched his own mini weekend festival, called D.O.N. Weekend. That has free events and performances for Detroit residents and usually by Detroit artists. Which he has done since 2018. If that wasn’t enough. Sean has also kept busy not only with his music, but his personal life as well. With him and his longtime girlfriend and fellow groupmate in TWENTY88, Jhené Aiko. Recently announcing they are expecting their first child together.

With Sean and Aiko, expecting. It will be interesting to see whether Sean brings her out or not. As a possible surprise guest during his performance. Like he did for his Coachella performance earlier this year. YG and Chicago’s very own, Lil Durk. Also a few possible options that Sean could bring out as surprise performers during his set. The latter two playing Lollapalooza this year too. Which makes it a pretty strong possibility. Either way on whether he does bring any surprise performers out during his set or not. Big Sean’s performance is still definitely among the most anticipated for this year’s edition of Lollapalooza. In about a week or so.
