British Dance/Pop duo AlunaGeorge have recently been experimenting with new sounds on some of their latest releases such as “I Remember” and “I’m In Control.” Now with their sophomore album, I Remember, set for a September 16th release, the duo have released their latest summer ready single, Mean What I Mean. A sultry, pop-infused, dance record, which finds Aluna Francis really showing off how well she can alternate cadences, while giving such a great vocal performance over the very dance-heavy, synths and pop house production of George Reid. As Aluna lets men know “she means, what she means,” when her or other women tell them they are denying a mans attempt at advances and they aren’t always playing hard to get like a lot of men think. Budding female emcees Leikeli47 and Dreezy also give the perfect complementary, quick, vicious guest verses to the record, which really fit so perfectly with the message Aluna is trying to help women get out to men about certain situations they find themselves in a lot.
