Not only does Tiger Woods start playing golf again today at the Masters, but apparently Nike found it appropriate to launch an ad including the golf star’s late father. In the entire ad, Tiger says nothing but continues to stand with eyes focused on the camera as if the camera is his father’s visual perspective. Why did Nike pull the Dad card? Is Tiger’s image so tainted that the sponsor had to reinforce the father-son relationship that was ever prevalent throughout his career when his father was still alive?
