Grammy Award-Winning R&B Sensation Miguel Set To Headline North Coast Music Fest, With Support From Rapsody, Jacob Banks & More

North Coast Music Festival returns and has one of its most diverse lineups yet. Back for it’s ninth year, the annual festival that takes place at Chicago’s storied Union Park will once again return on Labor Day Weekend of Aug. 31st to Sept. 2, 2018.

Typically known, as “Summer’s Last Stand”, the lineup for this year’s latest installment was announced earlier today and will feature one of the more diversified lineups for Hip-Hop yet. With the likes of Grammy-Winning R&B sensation Miguel, who’s well-known for his sultry style of Hip-Hop laced slow jams being one of the headliners. While lyrical genius Rapsody, viral sensation Smokepurrp, producer Monte Booker, the soulfully great, Jacob Banks and Chicago’s very own Kami and The Cool Kids will also play during the 3-day festival.

The Cool Kids (who performed last year) set will not be an actual performance though, but a DJ set. That’s part of an all-new daily showcases curated by industry collectives to show off the best sounds of Hip-Hop, House and beyond. The Cool Kids DJ set being part of a Friday takeover from the venerable Aux Cord DJs, which will also include Chicago’s very own Joe Freshgoods and Vic Lloyd, as well as a live set from Iris Temple.
