New Video BJ the Chicago Kid – The New Cupid feat. Kendrick Lamar

Chicago singer/songwriter BJ the Chicago Kid finally released his long-anticipated Motown Records debut album, In My Mind, last month and today he returns with the very amazing Matt Barnes-directed video for the very soulful and smooth Kendrick Lamar-assisted, The New Cupid.  One of the more standout records from the album and a personal favorite of mine, the visuals are really well put together with comedian Hannibal Burress playing the new cupid, as he strolls through a small town, doing some not so normal cupid things you come to expect from cupid.  BJ watches the drama unfold as he strolls through the neighborhood, stops to jam with The Truth Band in a garage and kick it with K-Dot, as he recites his verse in a small venue before BJ sees his Motown labelmate Mila J pull-up on him.  If you haven’t yet be sure to cop BJ’s very amazing In My Mind album at your local Best Buy or local store to support one of Chicago’s very own and such a great piece of music.  You can watch to the clip below to see if you can figure out what the new cupid does and why Mila pulled up on BJ.
