Kehlani Premieres Cinematically Exquisite New Video, everything, Releases Highly-Anticipated New Album, blue water road

After much anticipation, Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter, Kehlani. Has released her long-awaited and highly-anticipated third solo album, blue water road. That is named after a street where she recorded the album in Malibu, California.

Showcasing her growth and maturity since she released her mostly critically-acclaimed sophomore album, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t. Nearly two years ago. Kehlani’s newest album comes in at 13 tracks with features from everyone from Justin Bieber to Jessie Reyez, Blxst, Syd, Thundercat and Ambré. As well as being executive produced by Pop Wansel. It also features previously released singles, altar and little story.

Kehlani also having the following to say in a statement about the new album, “blue water road is a destination in my mind. I’m giving everyone access. It’s an emotional journey, a sexual journey, and a spiritual journey. To me, the album is like a glass house. It’s light, transparent, and the sun is shining right through it.”

To help celebrate in conjunction with the album’s release today. Kehlani also just a little over an hour ago. Premiered her cinematically exquisite new video for one of the album’s most standout tracks, everything. Directed by both Kehlani and Khufu Najee. The new visual for the Pop Wansel & Happy Perez co-produced track. Opens with Kehlani and a bunch of her homies. Standing outside by a car as a ballerina dances in front of them. Before Kehlani is then seen sitting by steps of a sidewalk street. While a dice game goes on behind her. Kehlani is also seen throughout the rest of the visual. With other hood type activities. Such as enjoying a house party and chilling in and outside of a liquor store. As well as the female orchestra playing throughout various parts. So beautifully cinematically captures Kehlani in her essence.

As she sings with everything. The very beautifully soothing heartfelt lyrics. To the record. That gives off those hood, but classy vibes of 90’s R&B. That the late great Aaliyah had. Also truly helping bring the record even more to life. So beautifully in a way. That it may even move you to tears of happiness and/or make you. Smile from ear to ear. Seeing and witnessing how much that Kehlani. Has grown both artistically and personally over not just these past several years. But really since the beginning of her career.
