Hit-Boy & The Alchemist today release their highly-anticipated debut collaboration album, GOLDFISH. That is 15 new tracks between the unlikely duo of renowned producers, whose accolades over the last two to three decades is a who’s who of heavyweights both mainstream and underground. Their contributions to Hip-Hop spanning several generations and with neither showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon. Their very great emceeing and rap skills don’t get nearly enough credit for as great as they are. Which is what makes not only, GOLDFISH, but Hit-Boy & The Alchemist’s several duo collaborations over the past several years work so well.
The new album from Hit-Boy & The Alchemist mostly the duo rapping together over both of their productions for the nearly 50-minute runtime. The only collaborations and features being from longtime collaborators like Havoc, Conway the Machine, Boldy James, Jay Worthy, Hit-Boy’s currently incarcerated father, Big Hit and Jonathan Hulett. That includes previously released singles Celebration Moments featuring Havoc and Business Merger.
Hit-Boy & The Alchemist in conjunction with and celebration of the new album debuting a brand new Isaac Garcia-directed video for one of the album’s most standout tracks, Ricky. The cinematic new video seeing both Hit & Al driving around with a dog as they rap their verses over the standout Hit-Boy production. Hit-Boy & The Alchemist also seen sweeping up foam suds of soap in a basement the same way they have been sweeping up both the rap and Hip-Hop game with their very stellar raps and production.
