Samara Cyn Releases Smooth & Reflective New Single, what will they say

Samara Cyn has had a pretty great and compelling 2026 that has seen one of not only Hip-Hop, but music’s fastest rising young stars do everything from making the coveted XXL Freshmen list to performing on her first ever national U.S. tour as part of Smino’s Kountry Kousins Tour to making her late night TV debut and more recently making her festival debut at Camp Flog Gnaw. Not to mention also delivering her critically-acclaimed latest highly-touted, backroads – EP, back in June. Looking to end her stellar year on a high note, Samara today releases her smooth and reflective new Billy Ray Schlag-produced track, what will they say. Which she first performed over Outkast’s classic Ms. Jackson, instrumental, at the Camp Flog Gnaw festival. So after being urged by fans to Samara has released the original version of the track that longtime collaborator Billy Ray produced.

The track itself one that finds Samara Cyn giving deep reflective introspection about a lot of the world’s issues that plague most everyone’s day to day and not just here in the U.S. As well as how she herself handles and speaks about it in her music. Such lyrics as, “Mm, yeah, my biggest fear is goin’ out before nobody gon’ know of me. Lay to waste my contribution for existence of poetry. Live too much, the only thing left to do is die, and it’s boringly. My biggest fear is lovin’ somebody who is extortin’ me. Watched the cities burn around the world and ain’t say anything. Reflection burned into my eyes of silent enablin’. Sittin’ in the water watchin’ temperatures ‘cross the seas. Let hate win over love ’cause I ain’t hug up on the trees. My biggest fear is hearts can’t be influenced through a music piece. The only way to change is near-death experience globally. Meteor come for us before my anti ain’t socially. While party hatin’ on me instead of wholeheart supportin’ me. My biggest fear is bein’ on the wrong side of history.” Showing why Samara is one of today’s upcoming premier emcees and lyricist’s too. That is so highly touted and respected by not only several publications and sites, but many of her peers as one of music’s greatest rising young artists and talents. Which is also why we highlighted Samara Cyn last October in our own always very popular New Artist Spotlight feature.
