Benny the Butcher released his mostly critically-acclaimed major label debut album with Def Jam, Everybody Can’t Go, earlier this year and after letting the winter have some. Benny is ready to hit up the last of Summer with his recently announced new project, Summertime Butch. He released today and had the following to say in a statement on the project, “Every summer needs a soundtrack.” So this is to provide that.
The brand new release is eight new tracks and a couple of interludes that has Benny with his gritty storytelling and unfiltered bars serving as the perfect backdrop to the heat up the end of summer. With features from everyone from his B$F brethren Rick Hyde, ElCamino, and Fuego Base. To Hip-Hop living legend and icon, Ed Lover making an appearance on, Summer 24 and features also from Ray Moon, Amber Simone and Lindsay Niccs. Plus production from the likes of Harry Fraud and StreetRunner.
In conjunction with and celebration of the project’s release. Benny debuting last night through Vevo. A brand new Brokealex-directed accompanying video for the project’s most recently released single, One Verse Butch.
