In a year already filled with so many great Hip-Hop releases, Chicago emcee Saba & No ID’s highly-anticipated and critically-acclaimed collaboration album, From The Private Collection of Saba & No ID. That they released earlier in the year, still stands as one of the better album’s released here in 2025. Saba not looking to slow down anytime soon, recently announced he will already be dropping yet another new solo project, COFFEE! This coming Thursday, Oct. 30th.
Saba giving us a small taste of the new project today by releasing his brand new single, Today Years Old along with a new Andrpw-directed accompanying video. Which has the Chicago emcee and lyricist’s sitting by his lonesome in his chair of his empty room near his desk while rapping his standout bars over the jazzy backdrop from the track. Such bars as, “Today I’m working I don’t know what for. Guess it’s just the repetition, I just want more. Complacency is not an inspiration source. So I inspire all of my influences. And whether they acknowledge it, I’ll keep doing it. The game been free that’s wide open. I was just tryna move through it with my eyes wide open. But if the team down three in the 9th inning. I’m who they calling up to the bat when the bases loaded.” Saba proving yet again why he is not only one of the best emcees and lyricist’s in the city, but really all of Hip-Hop right now.
