Fresh off dropping his long-awaited and highly-anticipated sequel to his groundbreaking classic album, Supreme Clientele, with Supreme Clientele 2, that he just dropped this past Friday. Living legend and icon, Ghostface Killah, returns to the album today by just a few short hours ago debuting through Vevo a brand new WHIPALO-directed accompanying video for lead single, Rap Kingpin. That is still by far the best track on the album and also one of the best of Ghostface’s already storied career.
The new video like the Scram Jones-produced track itself having that real cinematic and nostalgically fun feel. As it opens with DJ Ty Boogie on the 1’s and 2’s at the park of Staten Island where everything started for Ghost introducing himself and, “Staten Island! Stapleton Projects! Supreme Clientele! Park Hill! Mister Tony Starks! West Brighton! New Brighton! Ghostface Killah! The Harbor!” As Ghostface then goes with all of the people following him around Stapleton Projects as he raps his standout verses from the track such as, “The most valuable, bars that’ll clap you. Black British rockers with diamonds in the tassels. Cascade kids rock more glass that’ll splash you. My gooned out projects got a Tony Stark statue.” As it shows an actual gold platted Tony Starks statue of Ghost in his projects. The video also showing Ghostface on his Pretty Toney and/or Ghost Deini with the all red leather and matching red fur hat in the club on his “‘88 shit” while performing the track with a bunch of women in the club in the VIP section dancing next to him. Ghost also seen outside of the club in front of a white Cadillac with his Wallabee Champ belt and all his gold chains hanging with a bunch of fine women behind him. As he performs the very banging track. The club scene very cinematic and nostalgic that transports you back to one of the golden eras of Hip-Hop in the late 80’s and feels like a straightup classic mini movie. Like Scarface or Belly or one of those other classics and really helps Ghost bring the energetic and fun track even more to life.
