Originally meant to release late last year, RZA. The iconic, visionary artist and founding architect of the legendary and groundbreaking iconic, Wu-Tang Clan has once again united one of rap’s most influential collectives, the Juice Crew. For a brand new EP, Bobby Digital Presents: The Juice Crew. That is curated and produced all by RZA, over 7 tracks.
The new EP reimagines the Juice Crew sound through RZA’s cinematic lens, blending his signature production with the crew’s storytelling mastery. Which results in a project that stands as both a tribute and a testament to the legendary and iconic groundbreaking crew, who set the standard for the likes of the Wu-Tang Clan and other great Hip-Hop/Rap collectives. A reminder that true hip-hop never fades, it evolves. The EP features original Juice Crew members Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, MC Shan, Roxanne Shanté (who was recently honored by becoming the first female rapper to receive the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at the 67th Grammy Awards Ceremony), Masta Ace, Craig G, and Grandaddy I.U. (R.I.P.). As well as RZA himself and Pearl Gates.
RZA and the Juice Crew in conjunction with and celebration of the brand new project finally arriving. Also debuting earlier today through a Ford4D-directed double video for the Bobby Digital featuring Craig G standout, Lolita and Bobby Digital featuring Kool G Rap, Grandaddy I.U. & Craig G standout, Makin’ It Home. The latter only seeing I.U.’s and Craig G’s verses performed.
