GENA (Liv.e & Karriem Riggins) Debuts Cinematically Nostalgic New Video/Single, Lead It Up

GENA, the brainchild new duo of Liv.e & Karriem Riggins that debuted last November between the very talented Dallas-born, LA-based singer and songwriter, as well as the renowned Detroit drummer and producer. After already releasing the singles Circlesz and HOWWEFLOW, have kicked off 2026 and the new year as we reach the near mid point of January already their newest single, Lead It Up. Off their highly-anticipated debut album, The Pleasure Is Yours, which is set to drop in a little over a month from now on Feb. 27th. The silky smooth and hypnotic new record showing what great chemistry that both Liv.e & Riggins have together as GENA. Plus what great music can come when two very talented artists like them come together.

The talented GENA duo also debuting through Vevo earlier today along with the new single. A very cinematically nostalgic accompanying Cam Hicks-directed video. Which sees Karriem Riggins sitting by an outside market in the L.A. area talking with his business partner about some shea butter they are trying to sell. The beautifully talented Liv.e walking by and Riggins following her through the market and into the different places she walks by from a suit shop to a barbershop. As she walks down the streets of L.A. singing the summery silky smooth lyrics with her very silky honey smooth vocals over the hypnotic production from Riggins. The end of the video playing out like the end of a mini-movie you have to see to catch how it brings the summery silky smooth and cinematic hypnotic sound of the record even more to life. That will surely build anticipation for GENA’s already highly-anticipated debut album that much more.
