DJ Premier & Ransom Debut Cinematically Spiritual Enlightening New Video, Forgiveness

Nearly a full week after DJ Premier & Ransom released their critically-acclaimed new collaboration project, The Reinvention. Which already spawned the very stellar head nodding standout single and video for, Amazing Graces. The dynamic duo of DJ Premier & Ransom returned today with the debut earlier of the brand new Poe & Erikson-directed video for what is not only one of the most standout tracks on the new project, but one of the most standout tracks released all year, Forgiveness.

The cinematically spiritual new accompanying video for the track opening with Ransom entering a building with a duffel bag and DJ Premier over an all-black backdrop and in all black hoodie on the turntables, spinning and scratching the vinyl for the futuristically sounding stellar track. Ransom then entering a next floor of the building as the gates from the elevator open and a priest is waiting there as Duffle Bag Ran then starts confessing his nearly unforgiving lyrics of, “Apparently I’m not that rapper that y’all thought I was. (Nah) I was brought up in envy, I wasn’t taught to love. If said n***a had what I wanted. Then said n***a would take it off or he caught a slug. (Give me that) Your honor was expendable when you said it before a judge. I’m in debt to the Lord above. But it’s hell’s fire that I was blessed with a portion of. I’m possessed like the broad in Grudge. But the true horror is the gift is in the present, you never know what tomorrow gives. When life was like Contra, forever blowing them cartridges. (Blaow)” That once again shows why Ransom is easily one of the best emcees and lyricist’s in all of Hip-Hop right now. DJ Premier’s production with Ran as the duo of DJ Premier & Ransom just further elevating that.
