Reuben Vincent & 9th Wonder Debut Cinematically Nostalgic New Video/Single, HOMECOMING

Reuben Vincent continues to put in the work to show why he is currently one of Hip-Hop’s not only most talented young emcees and lyricist’s, but really all of Hip-Hop with his just released new single, HOMECOMING. The soulful 9th Wonder-produced track that also serves as the opening track for Reuben Vincent and 9th Wonder’s highly-anticipated collaboration, WELCOME HOME. That is set to be released a week from today on Friday, Oct. 24th. The track allowing the North Carolina native to lyrically unpack the weight of his journey, the dreams he carries for his city and the responsibility he feels. Such standout bars as, “Hey, I’m on this flight. I got some baggage from the city with me. I got some people from the past that I can’t let go. Though the money came, I never thought this sh*t would change. It never be the same, my boy. You gotta let ‘em grow. Can’t play the sacrificial lamb, while trying to be the goat. In a world full of sheep’s. The wools, the sky for the coat. Throw up my folks, split in the concrete I rose. To a pulp. Take out Assata, all you can see is hope. My biggest fear of what scares me is my potential. Cause though I know the game, to these n***as it’s detrimental. The paper I made came from having relationships with my pencil. Turn it into a gypso. Bleeding from what I been through.” Really setting the tone for the album.

Reuben Vincent also debuting earlier today through Vevo. A cinematically nostalgic new video for the track, he co-directed with Kielan Alexander. That opens with Reuben embracing his mother at home. Him then in an empty room of his former home he grew up in as he raps and performs the standout track. Clips of VHS recordings of him growing up in North Carolina in his basement with 9th Wonder on the turntables as he raps, him with friends at the mall and at the park. As well as of Reuben Vincent at a performance and in the studio with Young Guru playing as well. A clip also shown of Reuben with his son to give that cinematically nostalgic and homecoming feel of the track to bring it even more to life.
