Fresh off wrapping up, The Final Chamber Tour, with his Wu-Tang Clan brethren, Ghostface Killah, is ready to release his long-awaited and highly-anticipated next solo album, Supreme Clientele 2. As the latest release installment in Mass Appeal’s monumental, Legend Has It, initiative. Set to be released in less than a month on Aug. 22nd. Ghostface also releases the album’s lead single, Rap Kingpin.
Brilliantly flipping Eric B & Rakim’s classic, My Melody and Ghostace’s own, Mighty Healthy, from his original classic, Supreme Clientele, album he released back in 2000. The new Scram Jones-produced single shows that Ghostface Killah is still one of the greatest emcees and lyricist’s ever on the mic and arguably the greatest story teller ever in Hip-Hop. Such lines as, “The most valuable, bars that’ll clap you. Black British rockers with diamonds in the tassels. Cascade kids rock more glass that’ll splash you. My gooned out projects got a Tony Stark statue. I’m like Ghandi on dust. ‘Cause young n***as swinging they blade. Them chain swinging, cats remind me of us. We got old money, old 20’s, gold mouthful of fronts. We in the Swiss Alps, fvcking mad snow bunnies. Syringe rap, 40 bundles of smack. I seen lawyers get strung, they started off with the crack. The plug sent me ten bricks, I sent all of ‘em back. So they sent me half of a hunnid, had to get ‘em on that. I got my Cam’ron gun, rubber grip with the pink nozzle. Skate routes, dirt bikes, moving like Chapo. Bulletproof Spaulding googles, cop killer hollows. Fvck around and get the whole shell like a taco.” Showing Ghost’s great storytelling skills and another example on why he is arguably the greatest storyteller in the history of Hip-Hop.
