The arrest happened on July 21, 2025, when top forces of Gauteng’s organized crime unit and the SAPS Political Killings Task Team joined forces. The teams have been grinding on this case since day one. Officers even seized the murder weapon, which links to other violent crimes. Brigadier Athlenda Mathe and General Masemola both praised the vetting, saying that years of persistent effort helped crack the case.
