The Underachievers are back and sound as fresh, innovative, introspective and authentically Hip-Hop as they did when they first emerged on the scene a little over a decade ago. On their newest single, Losing Feathers. That they debuted earlier today through Vevo, a brand new Nick Welch-directed video for in conjunction with their first new project in five years, Homecoming.
The video for the track from their brand new EP finding the Brooklyn-bred Hip-Hop duo in an empty warehouse room watching on a projector. In black-and-white themselves both in an empty room and then an empty space. Performing the track as the video from The Underachievers also then switches into color. With both members of the duo comprised of Issa Gold and AKTHESAVIOR also watching as visuals from old footage of their past work plays on the wall while they spit their introspectively mature newest raps.
The new EP from The Underachievers compiling nine tracks of some of their most complete and mature work to date. That also includes previously released singles Brand New, Have Nots and Megatron. Which shows that The Underachievers are still some of the most introspective, innovative and creative artists that Hip-Hop has ever seen. That look to push the boundaries and disrupt the status quo for many more years to come. This definitely isn’t the last you will be hearing of, The Underachievers.
