Samara Cyn & Sherwyn Debut Fun New Video/Single, Pop N Olive

Rising rapper, singer and overall talented multi-hyphenate artist, Samara Cyn, first caught our attention last October when we highlighted her in our always very popular New Artist Spotlight feature. As one of the latest publications to highlight Cyn as an artist to watch and be on the radar of talented new artists for people to watch for 2024 and beyond. Putting out her highly lauded and highly-anticipated debut EP, The Drive Home. Not long after that. Samara stayed surprisingly somewhat quiet after that with the exception of releasing a few new videos a few weeks ago. Samara Cyn returns with a brand new single today though that’s her first new music here in 2025 with the Sherwyn-assisted, Pop n Olive. That is a very breezy, fun and smooth new record that’s perfect for the just on the verge warmer upcoming Spring season. Which will probably remind people of that nostalgic carefree Saturday morning vibe so many of us that grew up as children in the 80’s and 90’s grew up on.

Samara Cyn also debuting through Vevo just a few short hours ago a brand new Luciana Baldovino-directed accompanying video for the record. That is a just as carefree and fun new visual from her and Sherwyn. Which see the two rising on the verge artists and friends doing everything from riding bikes down blocks in the suburbs with their friends to playing in a park, setting off sparklers together at night and just dancing and grooving together in the streets by the end of the night. As they sing and rap the carefree and fun lyrics that are brought to life even more through the visual. Where both Samara Cyn and Sherwyn really show the infectious carefree spirit and nostalgic nature of the record that a lot of us who grew up as children in the 80’s and 90’s, as well as some that grew up in the early 2000’s can relate to. Everything from the record, production and video showing why Samara is such a talented artist we highlighted and continue to for those very reasons. Who will be around for plenty more years and generations to come.
