Xzibit Delivers Cinematically Triumphant New Video/Single, Play This At My Funeral

Xzibit is back and as sharp as ever on his just brand new released single, Play This At My Funeral. That finds the legendary and iconic Westcoast emcee over the very cinematically triumphant piano keys and drums of the production spitting rhymes such as, “See, I was just a kid when I had a kid. With no real definition of what a family is. Y’all n***as don’t understand me. It was just me and Tremaine. With Ileani as nanny.” Reflecting on the hardships he had coming up as a young father. While still trying to make his way as one of the best Westcoast emcees and lyricist’s. Xzibit also raps and reflects on several of the other trials and tribulations of life he went through such as selling drugs, nearly losing everything and many of the other things so many of us go through in this journey of life.

This track the perfect latest track from Xzibit previewing his long-awaited and highly-anticipated newest album, KINGMAKER. Which is set for release in either these final months of 2024 or the beginning of next year and will also be under legendary multi-division UFC world champion, entertainer and entrepreneur Connor McGregor’s Greenback Records in collaboration with Xzibit’s own, Open Bar Entertainment. That is also his first new music in nearly a decade.

Xzibit also debuting earlier today a cinematically creative accompanying new Alexey Figurov-directed video for the new single. That plays like a mini-movie and starts off with X to the Z at a dinner sipping coffee and writing a check. As he reflects and starts spitting his very reflective bars from the track, while exiting the cafe and just walking down the Los Angeles freeway. About halfway through very creative effects making snow, wind, lightning, tornadoes and bad weather happening as Xzibit spits rhymes about all the obstacles he overcame in his journey of life. X to the Z then towards the end of the video reaching the high of the mountains as he raps about all the highs of not only his career as an emcee he has reached and is grateful for, but just where he is in his life right now. The video then ending showing Xzibit overlooking the mountain with the sun and greatness of life on one side and the not so great things and lightning with thunder on the other side.
