Very talented rapper and singer, Terry Presume, returns today after a two year hiatus with his very introspective and catchy new single, hi, immrlaylow. That sonically is very out of this world and with its disarmingly vibrant thumping drums and slow guitar riffs on the Capi and Pat Swish co-production. Make like it could cross any genre from R&B to alternative rap. With Presume singing the catchy hook of, “These days I rather lay low. If we ain’t Finn talk about no pesos. Every hater get a halo. I been at the neck like a Capo. Call me, Mr.LayLow. I lay low. Call me, Mr.LayLow. Cause these days I rather lay low. If we ain’t Finn talk about no peso. Then it’s case closed. Call me, Mr.LayLow.” Before then so smoothly rapping bars like, “They be pocket watchin’ focused on the payroll. They got hit you. Don’t even ask how the day go. And I think it’s funny they got change just like you change clothes.” As well as, “Ball on them like D.Rose and I ain’t even talkin’ about no free throws. I know I was destined for them zeros.”
Terry Presume along with the very catchy new single also debuting a just as fun and introspective new accompanying Dell Nie-directed video. That sees introspective shots of Presume by himself in a house and outside in a forest. As well as with a group of friends in that same house. While singing and rapping the catchy and somewhat introspective lyrics to bring the record even more to life.
Presume having the following to say in a statement about the song, “In my own life, I found myself dealing with a lot of detrimental experiences and false people. This song speaks on that and I hope listeners take away the message that in a world filled with people who don’t always seem to want the best for you, that sometimes you’re better off staying out of the mix and laying low.”
