Chicago-bred rapper and producer, Myquale, is back with his newest single, Isaiah 54:17. That is a soulful thought-provoking new track that features stellar Philadelphia-based rapper, lojii. As Myquale and lojii rap about the responsibilities they as men have to safeguard their homes and communities. Not only physically, but culturally and mentally as well.
Myquale and lojii also debuting a cinematic new Julius Rarri Jimenez-directed accompanying video for the track. Which sees Myquale trekking through Brooklyn’s cold and bustling streets before meeting up with lojii in an apartment. Where they perform the track.
With Myquale having the following to say in a statement about the new track, “Isaiah 54:17’ delves into the responsibility of a man to protect, not just physically, but also ideologically and culturally. Collaborating with lojii, an artist I’ve long respected, brought a unique perspective to the track. Featuring my younger brother on the outro adds a personal touch, making a statement on the importance of safeguarding what matters most.”
Though it’s only his first track released here in 2024. Expect plenty of more new music in the final months of this year from the very multi-faceted and talented rapper and producer.
