SiR, returns today with his highly-anticipated and long-awaited fourth album, HEAVY. That is his first new album since his critically-acclaimed third album, Chasing Summer, dropped a little over four and a half year’s ago. The new album coming in at 16 tracks and with hardly any features. As Ty Dolla $ign, Anderson .Paak and Scribz Riley, as well as his TDE labelmates Ab-Soul and Isaiah Rashad are the lone features. The album also featuring previously released singles, Satisfaction, Life Is Good feat. Scribz Riley, Nothing Even Matters, No Evil and the just nearly a month ago released Isaiah Rashad collaboration, Karma.
Speaking of singles, just a few short hours ago in conjunction with and to celebrate the album’s new release, SiR, debuted through Vevo a brand new Louis Russier-directed video for his newest single, YOU.
The new video starting out in black and white with the TDE rep coming out of a house and turning up with the homies. Then turns into color as SiR over the very upbeat production sings the very catchy and infectious hook while in the studio recording the song, as the woman he is singing about is in the studio with him and they get up close and personal. The two also seen in an empty frozen garage where he slowly comes up close and personal to serenade his woman about the love he feels for her being more than just a friendship and an actual love. The clip goes back to black and white again when SiR is vibing with his homies again. Right before closing out in color again with him in the studio recording the very stellar new jam, as his very stellar vocals are put on full display and personal moments with his woman he is singing about as his muse for the record keep flashing by.
The personal up close and personal moments that are revealed at the end of the video to be actual memories he is remembering while recording the record about his woman. Which really helps bring the very personal raw lyric’s that SiR sings on the record even more to life.
