But this newest and final Tiny Desk performance of 2023 is one not many probably thought would ever happen. With one of the dopest emcees and lyricist’s to ever touch a mic, Scarface, making his debut Tiny Desk Performance. That was premiered earlier today through NPR Music.
Face himself curating his set by not only showing his status as a great emcee, but his status as a great producer and musician skilled at the guitar. Bringing his guitar along with him and fellow legend and iconic Hip-Hop figure, Mike Dean, who played on the keys. Plus incredible backing band, The Backyard Band and amazing vocalists behind him. To help him give a very beautifully transcendent and joyously stunning 30-minute performance of some of his most classic tracks ranging from his decades-long catalog both solo and with the Geto Boys. Such as On My Block, Mary Jane, Smile, I Seen a Man Die, F*** Faces and Mind Playing Tricks on Me.
