Roc Nation & Paper Planes With Jadakiss & DJ Young Guru, Introduce Emerging Roc Class With Set The Bar Cypher

Roc Nation and Paper Planes have teamed up to debut their first of its kind, Set the Bar cypher. That was debuted yesterday and captured on the rooftop of Roc Nation headquarters overlooking the Manhattan skyline.

Featuring official host Jadakiss and legendary DJ Young Guru. The cypher contains exclusive freestyle verses over signature beats from Jay-Z classics from some of the label’s emerging star roster. In HDBeenDope, Reuben Vincent, Huey V, KUR and Rapsody.

Guru said the following on the cyphers, ”This is what Roc is all about and this is what HOV envisioned at the start of all this. To watch these young rappers lead the evolution of music today spitting some of the hardest bars I’ve heard true classic beats is humbling. I’m happy to have my brother Jadakiss with me by my side to help present these artists that are setting the bar so high.”

While Rapsody also had the following to say about being part of the cypher, ”The inaugural Roc/Planes was special, and I say inaugural because this is something I hope will continue year after year as we celebrate and welcome new Roc family. When you see the Roc you will connect it with community. That’s what Hip Hop is and what we represent. Bridges from the seasoned to the new sprouts, we all will shine light on each other. And of course, we just had a great time on the roof! Felt like a little cookout with raps and no BBQ.”
