New Phife Dawg Video For, Nutshell Part 2 feat. Busta Rhymes & Redman, Premiered On 5-Year Anniversary Of Phife’s Passing

Today on the five year anniversary of late great, A Tribe Called Quest, member, Phife Dawg’s untimely passing at the age of 45. His Estate has premiered today through Complex by way of Vevo, the new Tony Reames-directed video for his posthumous single, Nutshell Part 2. That features fellow legendary emcees, Busta Rhymes and Redman. The single first premiered nearly a month and a half ago in mid February.

The new visual shot behind a white screen backdrop. Featuring Phife, Busta and Redman performing their stellar verses from the very dope track. Members of, A Tribe Called Quest, including Q-Tip and Consequence and his son, even making small cameos. DJ Rasta Root, who produced the track and was also a close friend of Phife, who also managed him. Also making a cameo in the video.

Rasta Root, having the following to say in a statement to Complex about the upcoming posthumous solo album, Forever, from Phife. That the single is featured on, “Even though the family, the estate, and myself are completing Forever, I am so proud of Phife on this one. He always spoke about giving back to his fans, they were very important to him. I know he would want them to have this album as an extension of himself.”
