Public Enemy Releases Fight The Power Remix w/ Nas, Rapsody, Black Thought, Jahi, YG & Questlove, Announce Return To Def Jam

As the civil unrest and turmoil in the country continues to grow. It’s only right for the voices of the legendary and iconic Public Enemy to be heard.

After over two decades ago starting the revolution with their iconic social justice anthem, Fight the Power. It’s only right for the group whose message of revolution, social justice and racial equality is even more potent and necessary than ever in today’s climate. Finally reunite with the legendary label it helped build into the globally historic and recognized brand it is, Def Jam Recordings.

Both Public Enemy and Def Jam teaming together again. To officially release their explosive 2020 remix of, Fight the Power. That features Nas, Rapsody, Black Thought, Jahi, YG and Questlove. Which was first premiered back in June at beginning of the BET Awards.

Both Chuck D and Flavor Flav releasing statements about the new partnership. “Cultural institutions are important. Being an integral part of one is an honor bestowed and to uphold,” said Chuck. Fight the Power: Remix 2020 is also the first offering from Public Enemy’s sure to be very highly-anticipated return album with Def Jam, What You Gonna Do When The Grid Goes Down. That’s set for a Sept. 25th release date.
