Over the years Los Angeles emcee, Planet Asia, has been one of the most consistently dope emcees to always put out dope albums. Mostly albums with one single producer (or production teams) handling the album too. Dropping classic material with everyone from DJ Muggs to Apollo Brown, DJ Concept, Izznyce and of course his boys DirtyDiggs, over the course of his pretty prolific career. But just when you think he can’t outdo himself, King Medallions himself, claims that his new 38 Spesh-produced album, Trust The Chain, which he dropped today, maybe his best single-producer album yet. Only time will obviously tell on that.
Obviously paying enough dues to be recognized as one of the best on the mic, Spesh turned to beatmaking. Showing and proving he’s just as nice on the MPC as he’s on the mic, he produced albums from him everyone from himself to Che Noir, Flee Lord, and Elcamino, within the last year. With several more projects and/or albums in the works.
To celebrate the release of the album too, Planet Asia and 38 Spesh also debuted earlier today, the new D. Gomez Films-directed video for, God Degree. Which sees Asia performing the track in the Mecca and birthplace of Hip-Hop. With Spesh also making an appearance in the new visual.
