Dreamville Makes, Sacrifices, In Heartfelt New Video ft. EARTHGANG, J. Cole, Smino & Saba

Over a month after Dreamville released their Gold-certified chart-topping compilation album, Revenge of the Dreamers III, they finally give us the first music video from the album.   Premiering earlier today, it’s for the closing track and arguably the best track on the album, Sacrifices, which features Dreamville Records very own Johnny Venus of EARTHGANG and label founder, J. Cole, along with Smino and Saba.

The very heartfelt and emotionally soul-bearing track gets a just as emotional heartfelt visual.  The Scott Lazer, Chad Tennies and David Peters-directed video finding all four emcees inside an abandoned warehouse individually spitting their very reflective soul-bearing verses about their individual trials and tribulations and life’s sacrifices and achievements.  It being shot in an abandoned warehouse brilliant because of how much more meaning it gives to the simple, yet very heartfelt soul-bearing lyrics and sacrifices they had to make to get the feel good love and achievements they did after so  many trials and tribulations it took to do so.  It makes you feel the  heartfelt emotion and soul in each of their individual verses that much more.

Johnny’s mother making an appearance in the new video, which is dedicated to his late great father making it that much more meaningful and powerful too.

The visual itself, “Dedicated to Milton Ahdwele Fann (Johnny’s father) and to all those who have passed on.”  May we remember all their sacrifices that make our lives good.
