Premiered late last night, as Thursday transitioned to Friday through Vevo, TDE First Lady, SZA gives us the latest new visual from her critically-acclaimed debut album, Ctrl, with the self directed video for one of the more standout records from the album and a personal favorite of mine and so many others, Broken Clocks.
The new Dave Free co-directed video finding the very talented singer/songwriter flashing back and forth from her youth to present day SZA. As her and her friends head to Camp Ctrl and Camp Vanderwoffenberg. With her TDE labelmates and brothers, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Isaiah Rashad making cameos throughout the new visual. Some in different odd end jobs you wouldn’t expect and have to watch to find out what they’re.
All of the TDE family of SZA’s partaking in various camp activities throughout, which includes roasting marshmallows over a bonfire in the nostalgic scenes of the new visual. The new video than returns to present day with a knocked-out SZA appearing in a strip club immediately to a sudden emphany of no longer wanting to work their, just like the time-stopping story of her working in a strip club and having a sudden emphany of just only now wanting to do music is what the record is actually about.
You can watch the dope new visual below and look for a deluxe edition of Ctrl with six new songs to come soon. As well as also catching her with TDE labelmates/brothers on their upcoming very highly-anticipated The Championship Tour.
