Kendrick Lamar & Top Dawg To Executive Produce Black Panther Soundtrack, Drop Lead Single, All The Stars With SZA

Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment had a huge 2017 with the release of both Kendrick’s latest critically-acclaimed album, DAMN. and TDE First Lady, SZA’s critically-acclaimed debut album, Ctrl, and just four days into 2018, TDE has already made its first big move of the year.  As it was announced early this morning that Kendrick and TDE will be producing the soundtrack, Black Panther: The Album, for the upcoming highly-anticipated new Marvel film, Black Panther.

Lamar having the following to say in a press release, ” Marvel Studios’ Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director.  The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture.  I’m truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside Ryan (Coogler) and Marvel’s vision.”

The soundtrack will be released next month in February in conjunction with the release of the film and will feature all new original music from and inspired by the film and curated by Kendrick, TDE founder/CEO, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and Top Dawg Ent.  The lead single, All the Stars, quite appropriately a new collabo between the two artists, who got the label so much success last year for their albums, which also earned both several Grammy nominations, in Kendrick and SZA.  Which you can listen to below.
