On the opening day of Lollapalooza for it’s 25th anniversary, one of the most exciting, thrilling and danceable sets came from British Dance/Pop duo AlunaGeorge, who opened the late afternoon set on the Pepsi stage with their debut single You Know You Like It. A very amazing display of singer of the group Aluna Francis dancing along with her two backup dancers she had as she sang the song, which the crowd seemed to know almost word-for-word.

The crowd really got pumped up though and dang near lost their minds when Aluna went into very dance-heavy, sultry, pop-infused latest single, Mean What I Mean. Which saw the singer bringing a lot of energy, as she sang and then brought out hometown Chicago bred rapper Dreezy for her crazy quick, vicious guest verse on the record and had Dreezy dancing along with her as she sang the rest of the record before upcoming masked upcoming New York female rapper Leikeli47 for her very killer guest verse to close the song.

After that the backup dancers went off to the side, as the duo slowed things down a little and Aluna grabbed the mic and started to slowly sing the duo’s very sensual My Blood record. A very amazing slowed down song that’s not in the vein of the duo’s more dance-heavy records that they usually make, which really let’s Aluna show off her amazing vocals.

Backup dancers back in tow, as the set started to slowly come to an end, Aluna went into the duo’s first singles they from the upcoming soon to be released sophmore album, I Remember, with the title track I Remember and I’m In Control. With Aluna even jokingly asking the ladies before she went into the duo’s very dance-heavy, I’m In Control record, “Hey ladies, who’s in control?” Say I’m in control.” As she procedded to dance away with the fans in the crowd following to the groove, to the dance and sing along with the Brit singer to the record.

The performance ended with Aluna going into one of the duo’s more popular records, Best Be Believing. With their very dance-heavy and energetic set that had everybody moving throughout and showed how amazing of an instrumentist and producer George Reid is, AlunaGeorge proved that if there isn’t anybody who were fans before they seen this very amazing and talented group at Lollapalooza that they definitely gained a lot more fans that are now sure to follow the rising duo, which is sure to blow in the near future. So don’t get left behind in the process and if you haven’t yet, be sure to check this very amazing
