It has been a real tough week for Prince fans with his untimely death last Thursday, which has many family members, fans and friends of the late great Purple One remembering him with their different tributes, renditions and stories. With everybody from Mariah Carey to The Game, Rihanna and Ice Cube chiming in. While last night The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon paid their respects by musical guest D’Angelo giving one of the best tributes yet with his very rouzing piano rendition of Prince’s Sometimes It Snows in April. As donning a Prince in your face style white fur vest and wide-brim black hat, while seated at a grand piano the elusive soulful great was joined by Prince cover band Princess (which consists of Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum) and gave a very stellar and emotional rendition of the heartfelt ballad. One that was so emotional that even D’Angelo almost broke down halfway through his performance, which you can watch below.
