In 2013 Snoop Dogg aka Snoopzilla & Dâm-Funk came together to form their own popular underground group, 7 Days of Funk and a little over a year after dropping their very successful funk inspired self-titled debut album under legendary underground L.A. based record label, Stones Throw Records, it looks like the group for those who thought it was a onetime thing are wrong. As the duo hits us with a pair of new singles on New Year’s Day (though they actually dropped last night during New Year’s Eve Cali time) to start the New Year off right with “N My System” and “It’s Not A Secret” featuring DPGC’s own Daz Dillinger and Shon Lawson. Both records got that perfect classic funky and groovy feel-good sound and bounce, which no surprise, is ironically perfect to get your two-step on to and have a good time to in the late night. With how great their first album and these new singles are, hopefully it’s a prelude to a sophomore album coming very soon too.
