We recently reported about Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming spaghetti western, “Django Unchained.”
More news emerged that Will Smith is the frontrunner to star in the film. Samuel L. Jackson and Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz (“Inglorious Basterds”) have also been tapped.
Nothing is final yet, but sources say he really wants Smith to show face in the film as the formerly enslaved African, Django.
While the casting crew is getting busy, the filmmaker is still searching for a distributor and has been in talks with Universal, Sony, Paramount, and Warner Bros.
